Kojima Productions has opened “BEYOND THE STRAND: The Odyssey of Creation and Endeavor,” an exhibition marking the studio’s 10th anniversary. It runs from October 31 to December 20, 2026 at Azabudai Hills Gallery in Tokyo, and preview tickets are required to enter through November 3.

According to Famitsu, which toured the show at a media preview, the exhibition is split into phases that trace the studio’s first decade. The opening area covers the making of Death Stranding, with development materials, an essay Hideo Kojima wrote in high school, and prototype Death Stranding footage shown publicly for the first time. The Death Stranding 2: On the Beach section includes early ideas for the game’s ending, which Kojima has said changed during the pandemic.

The final area looks at current projects: storyboards and new footage from the animated series Death Stranding Isolations, a Death Stranding Mosquito display, costumes from the in-development action-espionage game PHYSINT, and an OD - KNOCK exhibit. A 360-degree screen shows Death Stranding 2’s landscapes, and a roughly 10-minute VR tour of the studio is narrated by Kenjiro Tsuda, the Japanese voice of Sam. Visitors also get access to an AR game, Death Stranding Odradek: Tokyo Prototype, developed with Niantic Spatial.
